I strive for self-reliance in my life and share this mindset with all people I meet. A big part of self-reliance is recognizing those situations that we need help with and making a plan to be prepared. Having the right gear and training when you are in the woods, can turn a survival situation into inconvenient camping. Similarly, having the right insurance can be the difference between a financial catastrophe and a financial inconvenience.

I am a small business owner that gets to help my friends and neighbors take care of their families. Our local team at Bob Lawrence - State Farm is ready to take care of your personal and business insurance needs in Minnesota and Wisconsin. After 5 years on Grand Avenue in St. Paul I moved the office to Oakdale, back to my roots. I am blessed to have an amazing team. They hail from St. Paul, Woodbury, Hastings, and Vadnais Heights. Our customer base spreads across the Twin Cities Metro Area. Greater MN, and Western Wisconsin.

I help small business owners every day. I have owned small businesses in the contracting and labor industry, and now in the financial services and insurance world. I know the challenges and hurdles that face business owners firsthand, and I want to help. Liability, Workers’ Comp, Disability, Sureties, Life, and risk management are some of the services I can provide.

I grew up in Oakdale and graduated from Marquette University. I obtained a Master Plumber's license and owned a mechanical contracting company for many years. I was the Chair for the 2019 Grand Old Day and former president of the Grand Avenue Business Association. I served on the board of the Woodbury Athletic Association for 8 years. In 2022 I ran for the Minnesota House. And although I did not win, I met great people and created lasting friendships while knocking on over 3,000 doors in Woodbury and South Maplewood. My wife Stacey works in the office with me and our children Bobby and Bre are the third generation to attend Hill-Murray. Bobby is now at Marquette University (my alma mater), and Bre is at UW Lacrosse. Two great cities to visit.
